Igloo Energy launch Perkbox in bid to prioritise staff wellbeing during Coronavirus outbreak
London, UK, 6th May, 2020: Igloo Energy, the challenger energy provider based in Southampton, is today announcing the launch of Perkbox, Europe’s fastest-growing employee experience platform, in a bid to prioritise staff wellbeing during the Coronavirus outbreak.
With investing in people being a priority for Igloo Energy, the company was looking to support their staff more than ever during this difficult time. They decided to launch Perkbox due to the wide range of benefits that staff could easily access and benefit from at home. These include online shopping discounts, free online exercise classes with Boxx and access to a 24/7 employee assistance programme.
Another benefit of launching Perkbox was the ability to launch the platform both virtually and quickly. The launch took place within four days of purchase, instead of the standard four weeks, by streamlining marketing materials for staff like email templates and specific posters. To generate some excitement around the launch, Igloo Energy launched Perkbox the last week of March via a company update from their CEO on a Friday evening.
The most popular perks redeemed include free online workout classes with Boxx and a free online movie every month with Rakuten, with a login rate of 86% and almost 200 redemptions since launch.
Being a young team with an average age of 28 and a company culture described as customer first, focussed and passionate. Igloo Energy has also adopted some novel ways to help its staff cope with remote working. These include running a weekly fitness challenge as a team to encourage everyone to get active during lockdown, and prizes to be won.
